Know that I haven't forgotten all the things that you've done
At home my mind was reeling, but here nothin' worries me none

I ain't a' got much money, what I have I spend each day
And I seen a lot of sorrow here in this beautiful place
There's a lot of people talkin', the rumor mill grinds on
But if I stick to my own feelings, nothin' worries me none

It's easy to carry your troubles everywhere you go
At times you think your troubles are all that you know
Take the time to open your eyes and gaze at the bright blue sky
Pray for those on the fringes, by a thread they cling to life

I can take a walk by the water, smell the salt of the sea
The past can be just that, my mind longs to be free
Thoughts of my friends and loved ones, so easily they come
I hope they're feeling fine, I hope nothin' worries them none
